Wellness Grant Referrals
Wellness grants are a critical component of the circle of kindness created by the AOK Project. Wellness grants support mental health and recovery by reducing stress, increasing happiness and improving mood, self esteem and social connectedness.
Grants can be used for a wide variety of purposes.
Examples include:
- Course registration
- Art Supplies
- Sports equipment
- Program registration fees
- Educational programs
- Recreational programs
- Healthcare needs
- Personal hygiene items
Referral Process
To refer a potential grant recipient, healthcare workers must complete a Wellness Grant Application Form and submit it to The AOK Project for approval. Click here

to inquire about grant availability.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for a wellness grant, the recipient must be:
- Referred by a healthcare worker who provides mental health-related services
- Up to 19 years of age
- A resident of Vancouver, experiencing financial hardship
Notification
Referring healthcare workers will be notified of the outcome of their grant request. When the wellness grants are approved, the healthcare worker will be responsible for letting their client know that the grant has been approved, as well as for directing the AOK Project as to where to send the funds.
